how about using one (or a page in one) as a dialy log to catalog everything you eat in a day (there are probably already weblogs like this out there, i haven't looked too hard). by publicly posting all your meals you could shame yourself (or others through comments) into eating less or eating better. a couple of days ago i would have had to post a breakfast from mcdonalds, a lunch from subway and a dinner from quizno's. crap, maybe i should post one for myself! of course, i'm pretty sure that lying would be rampant. nobody wants to admit the quick hot dog at 7-11 or the chocolate eclair before bed.

lloyd carr is just too damn conservative. out here on the islands, june jones has hawaii throwing 50-60 times a game. imagine what he could do with the kind of athletes michigan has!
