my plan is to cary a camera with me all the time and document the entire year, one day at a time. the new page will start jan.1.

this lets me use both my old and new computer at the same time using only one monitor, keyboard and mouse. i am transfering the few files that i still want and tomorrow i plan to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the software on the old one. after that i might get an old one from work and wipe it clean and install all free or cheap stuff on it; linux (operating system to replace windows), star office (replaces microsoft office), mozilla or opera web browser (replaces internet explorer) and whatever else stuff i can find. this might be an ongoing project or it may never happen at all, but it is something that i've heard and read about and it seems like a lot of people use it as a way to stick it to microsoft (i don't have anything against them myself except that their crazy high prices, i think that their software is pretty damn good).
