it is still going to be a month or two, no big deal as  you get the free otis player with a 1 yr subscription. a bigger deal is that i've found out that my car (98 intrepid) cd player won't read cd-r's. damn chrysler products!! so any books or magazines i burn won't be read by the car's player. the work around is to buy a portable cd player that is car adaptable and reads cd-r's (you can pick them up for under $50), but you would think that a 98 automobile with a good stereo would have this capability. all in all the auduble service seems very good. i made my first subsrciption to the wall street journal morning read and it automatically downloads and burns to a cd-r while i am sleeping (or you can burn to a portable player like the otis or i-pod or just listen to it over the computer). i haven't decided on my monthly book selection yet.
