Great coverage over at the
daily racing form, past performances, analysis, news and clocker reports. i havn't fully reviewed the race yet (i'll get on it this weekend) but i am probably going to take a chance and throw the big favorite (empire maker, 8-5) out of the money. my early feeling is that there is a lack of front speed in the race, and when that happens, bet whatever front speed is left. that looks like peace rules for this race. he should end up 2nd or 3rd favorite or longer (at decent odds i hope). the rap on him seems to be that he took advantage of an inside speed bias his last race. huh? what a bunch of crap. what should he have done, gone to the back of the pack and try to circle the field? i'll try to pin down my preliminary plays this weekend and then see how it plays out when i get to vegas.
