Before I went to Vegas I signed up for the Honolulu Marathon this December. It's been 10 years since the last one so I'll see how it goes. I've been in training since I got back and am feeling pretty good. I've started by laying down a base (30 minute runs / 2 days on and 1 day off) and will start my long runs Labor day weekend (1 hour runs progressing longer and longer until the marathon on 12-14-03. That minor knee surgery a couple years ago really cleared things up for me, I feel no pain at all (and I'm keeping my fingers crossed regarding my sciatica). One cool thing I'm doing is programming my mp3 player with songs that last for 30 minutes, 40 minutes, etc.. etc.. When the music stops, so do I :)
I just fished a couple shirts out of my dryer. One is a Tommy Bahama silk pullover that cost $100. The other is a Hathaway Sport silk pullover that cost $16.95 at Costco. Pulling them out I noticed for the first time that they both had the same type of arrow shaped stitch design on the collars, then I noticed it on the sleeves. I layed them down next to each other and looked them over really closely. And the're the SAME DAMN SHIRT!! That damn Tommy Bahama label cost me $83! I need to get back to Costco and suck up some more of the Hathaways (I bought two originally). Costco rocks! (Full disclosure: I own stock in Costco :):)
I havn't seen this yet, but if it's anything like all the other sequels out in the last two years it's going to be crap! Anybody know ANY good sequels? (Well, the Road Warrior was far superior to Mad Max, but that's about it! And maybe T2?)
I know I wrote about using FM Radio a few weeks back, and now I've bought it and am most satisfied. Writing my blogs in it is just like using Word to write with. The spell check alone was worth the cost. I've e-mailed the developer, socialdynamx, with some questions and gotten answers back within 12 hours each time. Why everybody doesn't have a weblog I'll never know!
