Since I'm just lazing away this Memorial day weekend, I'm going to tell a story from last Thursday. I was driving to a jobsite in downtown Honolulu and was waiting to turn a right. There were a bunch of people crossing the road so I had to wait for them to get across before I could make my turn. The last person in this group was a girl talking on her cellphone. She was blabbing away and straggling behind the group that was already out of the intersection. As soon as she passed I could go! Suddenly she just stops in the crosswalk and starts wildly gesticulating with her free hand. She isn't moving and I'm getting itchy to turn, so I give a little toot on my horn. She turns to face me and FLIPS ME OFF! I'm just astounded (and a little pissed off), all I want is to turn right and go, so I just lay on my horn and she gives me the finger one more time and walks out of the intersection as slow as she can. And people wonder how road rage gets started :)
