I got home from work this evening and as soon as I opened the door I knew there was trouble. It was nice and sunny outside but it sounded like it was raining in the house! Sure enough, I walked into the living room and water was pouring from the ceiling! I dropped everything and ran upstairs into a bathroom that had an inch of standing water on the floor. The rushing river sound led me to the back of the toilet, where the line had ruptured! It must have happened this morning for so much water to have built up on the floor and in the ceiling. Right now I'm draining the ceiling by poking holes and putting pots underneath. The carpet is soaked and so is some of the upstairs carpet where water was starting to leak away from the bathroom. It looks like I'm going to have to replace about a quarter of the living room ceiling. CRAP! It's not the money (it won't cost me anything, I am a drywall contractor after all), it's the damn aggravation of the whole thing. What a pain in the ass!
