After almost a year of using Radio Userland to publish this weblog, there is now a book out! That's right, this is the first book published on using Radio Userland. I ordered it over 4 months ago and it just published and shipped this past week. Based on the author's (Rogers Cadenhead) weblog (Workbench), it should be a good reference book to turn to. Ever since I've started using Radio, I've mainly been finding out how to do things by reading other weblogs, reading radio's discussion boards and e-mailing people who like to help. I hope this book provides a good starting point for people getting into weblogs and Radio in particular. Since I'm talking about Radio, I may as well point people to the Scripting News weblog also. This is written by the founder of Radio Userland, Dave Winer, and has good info and links regarding weblogs and general commentary.

Well, the Marlins did it! Per my poll results, 75% of the voters thought they would win the World Series and they did (shame on those who didn't vote)! Of course, they were the best team in baseball over the last 3/4 of the season. Why they weren't favored is classic sports line setting. What the betting lines are based on is public perception (how people are likely to bet), and not really on ay kind of statistical analysis of the quality of play of the teams involved. Remember this when betting football!
