I can't believe I did this again! A couple nights ago I was taking dinner out of the oven, and while in the process of setting it down on the counter, accidentally knocked a paring knife off the counter. The knife fell straight down, point down, and ended up sticking right in my foot! It only went in about a quarter of an inch, but it stuck right there in my foot until I bent over and pulled it out. There was very little blood and no serious damage was done, a Band-Aid was all it took to take care of the cut. What's weird is that I did the EXACT same thing a little while ago (10 months, a year?). The same knife, the exact same action of taking something out of the oven and setting it on the counter, and the exact same result of the paring knife sticking out of my foot! I guess that's the price you pay for going barefoot in Hawaii all the time (or leaving knifes close to the edges of counters :)
