Saw this while surfing the web, the Stealth Surfer, a USB thumb drive that also acts as a secure tool for surfing the web. Great for looking at porn, I guess? (check out their user guide, their first screen shot lists "adult sites" :). Also great for if you ever need to access a public computer to download any web based e-mail. Of course any thumb drive (sometimes called a keychain drive) is great to keep on hand (attached to your keychain?) in case you need to swipe some info off of another persons computer (with their permission of course!).

I've spent a couple days now trying to get my Roku HD1000 to communicate with my wireless network; to no avail. So, I've had to admit defeat and write to tech support. I really want to get this configured, because the damn photos look SUPERB on a wide screen HD TV. I've been having to put them onto memory cards for now though, in order to view them, when what I really want to do is to stream them to the TV via my wireless network. The same thing goes for streaming my 400 or so CD's over the network. I'm hoping Roku e-mails me back tomorrow with an answer to what I'm doing wrong :(
On another Gadget note, I've picked up a Garmin Forerunner 201 to track my running. I used to keep a log but once in a while you miss a day, and then another, and before you know it your log has gone to hell. With the Garmin, all this info goes in the log whenever I download it into my computer. In the meantime it stay's nice and secure in the Garmin's memory. Another pretty cool thing I saw, was this weblog article on how to use your Garmin to put your running routes onto satellite photos. It would be cool to have a visual record of running routes. Walt Mossberg writes up a pretty good review of the product.
