I see all over the web where the Apple Heads are all goo-goo-gaa-gaa (check Mike Wendland) over the new Mac mini and iPod shuffle. The mini I can see, it's cheap and a great entry point for anyone who wants to give Apple a whirl. The shuffle on the other hand..., I just don't get the hype? You plug this thing into your computer and get a random mix of songs (a shuffle) put onto the player. Don't they already have that? It's called radio I thought? And if you are listening to a random mix of music, what if you listen to a song you like but can't identify? You can't look at the screen for song information since there is no screen! I'll stick to my old Creative MuVo NX, for now, thanks. I think that most of the hype is from the Apple cult. To them Apple can do no wrong.
It's all over the web, but if you didn't see it yet today, Google has released a new version of their Picasa photo software, Picasa 2. This version is easily the equal of the Adobe Photo Album 2 software I bought, except that it's still FREE! Download it and keep it. One of the best deals on the web!
