What the F***? Check out Modern Living!
After sending another e-mail (in a long line of e-mails) without an attachment, I decided it's time to get an add-in for Outlook that will remind me when I've forgotten to clip on the attachment. There are two programs that I'm looking at (I'll demo each before buying), the first being Bells & Whistles. Besides the forgotten attachment reminder, the thing that I really like about it so far is the ability to attach notes to e-mails I receive. Pretty cool. The other program (which I will try out next) is You Perform. This program is similar to B & W but seems to have some additional features that look attractive. One is called 'eliminate duplicates', which gets rid of duplicate e-mails, contacts and calendar items. Others features include 'add e-mail address' (automatically turns e-mail address into a contact) and 'print on demand'. Check out both web sites for a full listing of what they can do. Another program that I think I may give a demo to is Clear Context. As you can tell by their website screenshot, the program is basically an advanced e-mail filtering program. I really like the idea of getting all my e-mail sorted and color coded. It seems that it would make it way easier to scan, file and delete the stack in your inbox. Another thing they have is message threading, which I won't explain (if you have a Gmail account you know what it is :) Of course, it's my opinion, that all of this stuff should already be built into Outlook, but I guess that's why Microsoft has updates every couple of years :(
