A friend was having a popup problem and already had Spybot and Ad-Aware on the computer. I suggested also installing Microsoft AntiSpyware and that solved the problem. The moral of the story? Install all three on your computer and make sure to run Spybot and Ad-Aware at least once a week and check for updates at least once a month (Microsoft is automated and will do both on it's own). Also, If you keep getting warnings for DSO Exploits when running scans, don't sweat it. It's not really a problem (read this).
From one of my favorite new websites, Lifehacker, comes this Download of the Day: AutoStitch. Looks like a great tool if you want to try to create a panorama photo. I already have some photostitching software that came with my Canon camera, but I'll try to find the time to give this freebie a tryout.
