It's getting near the end of summer for some people, but here in the Islands, it's perpetually freakin' hot! A new Vornado fan comes to the rescue: Zippi. Now instead of having to buy expensive air conditioners for the comfort of my visitors, I can just duct tape a Zippi to their head and away they go! Now if only I could find out whether it uses a cord or batteries :)

Google also has released a new version of their Google Desktop that goes way beyond just search. Their new sidebar adds functionality that could replace several programs I have running right now. Photo album, stock quotes, weather, scratch pad for quick notes and much more. Will Google some day rule the world? Here's a PC Magazine article.
