Google Pack is a bundle of apps from Google that all install from one download. If the app is already installed it will be automatically updated. Not a bad bunch of apps (especially the Google ones). The one app I would be hesitant to install is the the Norton Antivirus. I've never had good luck with Norton. Give a tryout to AVG Antivirus instead. Free and excellent!

For those of you (like me) using the Google personalized homepage, Google Modules offers 3rd party modules to use on the homepage. I'm currently giving a try out to the To-do List and the Mini Browser. Some cool looking modules with more being added all the time. Keep an eye out for more and more in the coming months.
For those of you who are annoyed with how slow Adobe Reader opens up pdf files, give a try out to Foxit Reader. Foxit Reader is a small footprint, lighting fast pdf reader that does everything Adobe Reader does and more. And like all the rest of my favorite software, it's free :)
