I've been busy around the house with infrastructure repairs this week. My plasma TV burned out a panel and they had to take it to the shop for repairs. Total cost for repairs: $520 and two weeks to get it back (I guess the part has to be ordered from Sony in Japan). Then just a day later my washing machine died in the middle of a cycle. Total cost for repairs: $550 IF they could find a new clutch for it, which is shown as no longer made/available in their database. So it's going to be a new washing machine ($460) for less than the cost of repairs on the old would have been. Bad things are supposed to happen in three's!!! I'm dreading what's next :( Maybe my upcoming Lasix surgery counts as infrastructure repairs :)

As I've said in the past, I use Google personalized start page as my home page. I've also tinkered around with Start, from Microsoft. But of all the new look start pages, I would have to say that Protopage is the most ajaxy/customizable one that I have seen so far. I'm sticking with Google for now, but will keep an eye on this site.
