Well, I've finally given in and started to use del.icio.us as my bookmark manager. I've had it installed for ages but just didn't see the need to take the time to get to know about it. Last week though, I finally spent 20 minutes reading up on it and started tagging all of my favorite websites as I use them. Why the switch from my regular web browser bookmarks folder? Mainly because I want somewhere that I can always access a listing of my favorite sites. Also the use of tags and multi tagging makes so much sense once you get used to it. I've got the browser buttons installed and just click on the post to del.icio.us button whenever I want to bookmark a site. Easy as pie. Yahoo bought del.icio.us a while ago, but I haven't seen any changes to the site, and I hope that Yahoo leaves it alone as a seperate service. Give del.icio.us a try and you might just get hooked. Here is a good listing of tools you can use with del.icio.us.
