"Eowyn served in the house of King Theoden of Rohan together with her brother Eomer. Her desire to go into battle made her take the identity of a Rider of the Mark. This is how she joined King Theoden in the battle of the Pelennor fields under the name of Dernhelm. As King Theoden was crushed by his own horse and all fled before the Lord of the Nazgul she stood vast and revealed her true identity to her enemy. After killing the winged creature that the Lord of Nazgul was riding on, she was attacked by him and he broke her arm. It was Merry who had riden with her to Gondor who then attacked the Lord of the Nazgul from behind. Eowyn then struck him right under his crown and killed him. She was badly injured and was healed by Aragorn in the Houses of Healing. During her recovery she met Faramir who had fallen in love with her. After loosing her dispair she also fell in love with him. They wed and after the War of the Ring they lived in the hills of Emyn Arnen. "
