Shelob
Shelob was a giant female spider that had her lair at Cirith Ungol. She was a decendant of Ungoliant the giant spider of whom more is said in the Silmarillion. Sam and Frodo were led to her cave by Gollum who had apparently made a pact with her in which she could have the hobbits and Gollum would receive his precious. Sam however defeated her by using Sting to attack her belly and the Phial of Galadriel. "Shall we continue to our next creature: Old Man Willow?" Sure Bilbo, let's look at the next creature... Show me the creature list again, I want to see something else...
