I am not really religious. Most religions take themselves much too seriously. But in some stories there is a kind of magic, like the god who became man to deliver the world. In the end it all turns out more like The Man Who Fell to Earth, the man who forgot what he had come for.
Nevertheless, some stories are quite good, symbolical of course. Like this song. I am always reminded of Die Blechtrommel when I hear this song.

Free music from The Billionaires to prepare you for the elections. Very generous of the billionaires. Enjoy!
Have a look around on the site, there is much more to download than on this page.

FilmForum: "In this charming, elegantly shot fable set in neighborhoods of poverty and privilege in Goa, India, 18-year-old Venkatesh ekes out a living working in a hotel and pounding the pavement selling plastic baggies. It's a far cry from his fantasy - to dive into the glimmering David Hockney-esque swimming pool of an upper-class family. Remarkably, this neorealist tale, reminiscent of the great Satyajit Ray, is written and directed by an American, Chris Smith, acclaimed director of AMERICAN MOVIE and THE YES MEN."

What is life all about? My philosophy is that we are thrown in this world without our consent and consequently we should enjoy ourselves as much as possible to get our own back. To do that we have to change the negatives in our lives as much as possible. Hence this blog.
However, there are some things that are so positive and so splendid that they exist in their own right and deserve all the attention and credit they can get.
One of these is the wonderful Tasmin Little. She is a violin soloist and is so enthusiastic about her art that she is a joy to watch and listen to.
Ladies and gentlemen, your attention for Tasmin Little.
You can download her latest CD completely for free, with an audio and printed introduction by herself and even the sleeves to print and make your own CD.

Just to celebrate the successful move of my Radio weblog from my old computer to my new iMac, on which my favourite desktop images are the Kinkakuji or Golden Temple and the Ryoanji, here is a wonderful site with everything you want to know about the famous Japanese gardens.
Bowdoin College also has several Asian Studies podcasts (scroll down a bit). Also a project on Japanese scrolls.
