LA Times: "The National Assn. of Evangelicals is circulating a draft of a groundbreaking framework for political action that strongly endorses social and economic justice and warns against close alignment with any political party.
It affirms a religiously based commitment to government protections for the poor, the sick and disabled, including fair wages, healthcare, nutrition and education. It declares that Christians have a 'sacred responsibility' to protect the environment.
In the midst of a presidential election year, war and terrorism, the framework says Christians in their devotion to country 'must be careful to avoid the excesses of nationalism'."

Black Commentator: "After more than three decades of mass Black incarceration as national policy, Black America teeters at the edge of an abyss, unable to muster more than a small fraction of its collective energies to advance its agenda in housing, employment and education. The community has been poisoned by massive, ever increasing infusions of the prison experience - a debasement that now permeates much of the fabric of Black life."
It's weird when you see that the present US government consists of people who have breached the law in the past and are breaching the law now. When will we see them in prison?

"Pray For Reason is a call to Americans of all religions and belief systems who want to see their country's policies at home and abroad based on facts, history, and reasonable thought processes. Join us - a group of religious and non-religious Americans - in pledging to do everything we can to remove the current administration from office."
