PWW: "From the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco across the country to this city's Blue Cross and Blue Shield corporate offices, tens of thousands of union members, community activists and their families marched for 'Health Care for All' on June 19.
This was the second National Health Care Day of Action sponsored by Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Jobs with Justice, Americans for Health Care and Rock the Vote. With nearly 44 million people in the U.S. without health care coverage and millions more with limited coverage, rallies in 165 cities and towns demanded that universal, quality, adequate affordable health care to 'bridge the gap' be a priority issue in the 2004 presidential election."

LA Times: "In a victory for the White House, the Supreme Court set aside a judge's order Thursday that would have required Vice President Dick Cheney to turn over documents that would show whether industry lobbyists had met secretly with his energy policy task force.
The justices sent the dispute back to the U.S. Court of Appeals."
Why would Cheney refuse to show those documents? To prevent others from knowing he did not meet privately with industry leaders, including then-Enron Chairman Kenneth L. Lay? No, because he did have a secret meeting and he wants to keep it secret.
And watch your language, Dick! "Vice President Dick Cheney blurted out the "F word" at Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont during a heated exchange on the Senate floor, congressional aides said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in a terse discussion between the two that touched on politics, religion and money, with Cheney finally telling Leahy to 'f--- off' or 'go f--- yourself', the aides said."
Leahy must have hit the nail on the head if Cheney blew his top like that.
