Interview with Hunter S. Thompson: "OK, then. What is the state of the American dream today?
Oh, god. That's a pretty pre-thought out, written on a list kind of question. Not very good. Yeah I would say not. The American Dream ran out with the American century. I'm still figuring it out. That's a pretty strong statement. I'm still putting the pieces together right now."
An other interview (mp3).

I haven't had such a good laugh over George Dubya WMD Bush for months.
The POTUS was a pot-smoker.
NY Times: "And in exchanges about his handling of questions from the news media about his past, Mr. Bush appears to have acknowledged trying marijuana."
Translated in normal language: Bush smoked marihuana.
Now let's recapitulate this slowly: "President Bush indicated in interviews secretly taped by a friend before he became president that he had used marijuana but would not admit it for fear of setting a bad example for children."
So setting a bad example has nothing to do with smoking pot, only with admitting it?
And the Gannon story is still going strong. What more can we expect from the POTUS? A secret relation with Condi? Was Jeff Gannon Bush's boyfriend? There are only two possible explanations for Jeff getting through the security check: either he was a secret agent planted there to help George W. (you can forget about the security breach) or he had a boyfriend high up in the White House.
One of those possibilities is too horrifying to admit to, the other is that Bush is dating a male prostitute. Do check out the video on the above Gannon link, or try this one.
We are waiting for George's coming out.
