Scotsman: "The driving licence and cash cards of Hussain, who was from Leeds, were found in the mangled wreckage of the Number 30 bus that blew up in Tavistock Square, killing 13.
He had told his parents he was going to London with friends on the day of the attacks and at 10:20pm that day they reported him missing to the police casualty bureau.
Documents belonging to a third suspect, who was 30 and from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, were found in the debris of the Edgware Road blast. The three men were believed to have been friends but not related."
The bombers have already been named by the British government. And apparently they are suicide bombers. Very convenient. Initially the police said the bombs were probably triggered by timers. Police now are convinced that the four bombers did not act alone. Proof gentlemen!
FT: "But the government believes new legislation is urgently needed to prosecute and convict people caught undertaking 'acts preparatory to terrorism'. Home Office officials believe last week's bombings may also make it necessary to enhance anti-terror laws in other ways."
It's not the laws that will prevent terrorism, especially not if the government that issues the laws can itself be accused of terrorism. In a situation like this the government can tell us anything. But can you trust a confirmed liar?
