LATimes: In the middle-class suburb of St. Louis, about 14 miles north of downtown, city leaders have ruled that because a couple are not married, they and their children don't belong and they are not allowed to live in the house they bought.

And those who don't speak English should probably be banned as well.
WashingtonPost: "After an emotional debate fraught with symbolism, the Senate yesterday voted to make English the 'national language' of the United States, declaring that no one has a right to federal communications or services in a language other than English except for those already guaranteed by law."

I hope the POTUS has improved his English so as to be able to pass the test. I'm afraid it's rather a matter of brain damage with him.

If your citizens act up, jail them, George.
ArizonaDailyStar: "Overall, the number of female state inmates serving sentences of more than a year grew by 757 percent between 1977 and 2004, nearly twice the 388 percent increase for men."

The greatest criminals are still at large: George W. Bush, Cheney, et al.
Yahoo: "The Pentagon's spending on secret programs has hit its highest point since the end of the Cold War, a Washington-based research group said in a report released this week."
You can bet on it that most of these programs are illegal.

AfterDowningStreet: "With a methodical series of public gestures, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is distancing himself from President Bush and fellow Republicans in Congress as he seeks to avoid harm to his re-election effort from their declining political fortunes."

And it isn't any better in good old Britain.
Scotsman: "The sleaze watchdog appointed by Tony Blair has personally attacked the Prime Minister for failing to uphold standards in public life."

Scotsman: "Soldiers who object to taking part in a military occupation of a foreign country will face life in prison under measures due to be rubber-stamped in the House of Commons on Monday.
It will change the definition of desertion to include soldiers who go absent without leave and intend to refuse to take part in a 'military occupation of a foreign country or territory'."
Say, hadn't Tony's friend George gone AWOL while in military service?
Ah well, all that rot about the law; George and Tony are the deciders, aren't they? They are the law. They can abuse it whenever they want to.
