In Hay-on-Wye there's a Hay Festival until June 5, a carnival celebration of books and music.
Alexander McCall Smith has finally revealed what the initials J.L.B. of J.L.B. Matekoni (the husband of Mma Ramotswe, director of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency) stand for and told his audience that he is suffering from a condition he calls 'serial novelism'. We wish him all the best.
