There is a tendency nowadays among minority groups such as the gay community and the immigrants to renege their movement roots and the struggle they had to put up to get their rights. Some have turned right-wing (the lure of the money) and even give their own kinsfolk a hard time. Maybe Queeruption, a new initiative for a DIY festival, can make a difference.
