Here's how you can add a link that lets people launch AIM with your screen name:

<a href="aim:GoIM?screenname=yourscreenname&message=Linked+from+blog...>Click to IM with Jeff</A>

Here's how you can add a link that lets people add your AIM screenname to their buddy list:

<a href="aim:AddBuddy?ScreenName=yourscreenname">Add me to your buddy list/a>

And here's how you can use the AIM presence engine to display an icon to indicate whether or not you are currently logged in to AIM:

Get Paid to Write about Zope!. ZopeMag, the only Magazine devoted exclusively to Zope, is looking for freelance writers. [zope.org]

Cool. A magazine for Zope.

Hey, here are a couple of whacky ideas:

 - On our internal blog server (it's running Zope), we should throw an index page in the blogs directory that programatically lists the blogs available. I can do this today if I have time. That way, if someone surfs to an individual's blog and then backtracks the URL, they can easily see who else has a blog going.

 - Another interesting thing to do (maybe?) would be to have an aggregation of all internal blog posts. We should be able to do that easily with Zope. Then, we could add the aggregated feed to our intranet portal just for fun.

The latter would make our internal blogs more visible to those that aren't (yet) using Radio. If needed, we could eventually split the feeds by category.

At Nav we are sometimes asked to provide resumes prior to a project engagement. We've tried various methods for managing these documents. Each method meets the same fate as any other content management/document management problem meets: If the owner of the content does not have an effortless way to publish the content, the content stagnates.

What better place to serve these documents than each employee's internal blog? Radio will upstream any file placed in the Radio directory structure. So, we can just drop the resume into our internal-only category and it will get upstreamed to our blog server. Next, you need to provide a link to the document. One way to do this without managing a category-specific template is to create a #navigatorLinks.xml file in your category folder and then customize it by including a link to the resume. I cleaned up mine further by eliminating the links to my public blog categories with a summary category called "Public Site". (I learned this technique through this thread).

Now, I can keep my internal resume up-to-date and accessible to anyone who needs it. Yet another piece of knowledge I can manage through a single interface--Radio.

We're thinking about implementing our own comments service internally for our private blog sites. Here's something to get us started. http://radio.userland.com/stories/storyReader$10854#howToCreateARadiocompatibleCommentsService

I just got another batch of World Cafe CDs for Christmas. Because my local public radio station took World Cafe off the air (or moved it to some obscure time slot) I don't stay up to date on when CDs are coming out so when I think about it, I check the site. I bought volumes 11 and 12, the 10th anniversary double CD, and the "Next Decade" CD which I guess is really volume 13. They are all awesome.

I haven't picked a favorite yet. Right now it is between the 10th anniversary and volume 13. Volume 13 has a great Lucinda Williams track, "Get Right With God" as well as one of my favorite Ryan Adams songs (at least of his newer stuff), "New York, New York". The 10th anniversary CD has "Another Town" from Steve Earle, "Can't Let Go" by Lucinda Williams, and "Designs on You" which is a great Old 97's song. Of course all of the World Cafe CDs have great tracks from artists you might not otherwise be exposed to.
