A Groovy Move? Microsoft Snaps Up PlaceWare. Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it purchased Web-conferencing vendor PlaceWare for an undisclosed amount. Resulting new products will fall under the newly minted Real Time Collaboration group under former Microsoft Research employee Anoop Gupta.
