on and off, in and out

its been some time, i know. life 's been hectic lately, and not having my iBook fixed yet made only things worse. i mean it placed a further constraint onto my mental bandwidth limit since i couldn't post from any place/space other than my home. tomorrow, i'm off to athens to deliver personally my iBook to the legitimate apple dealership in greece, and i hope i'll have it back in my hands very soon. thanks to all those who offered help, especially reto, peter, and whump. unfortunately, the damage was far more severe than i had initially estimated; the ibook has been literaly fried.

and on wednesday, i'm off to vienna, austria for the third oekonux conf. (program here). for those unaware of what oekonux is, it is a meeting of people caring about extending the principles and methods we commonly associate with the production and distribution of free software/open source to other spheres of socio-economic activity. In that regard, oekonux is unique and i am very honoured to be a small part of the great experience in collective radical thinking and praxis that oekonux, beond any doubt, is. good to see again so many friends and familiar faces there. my presentation is scheduled for the morning of may 23 and it revolves around a paper i'm now writing and which can be accessed here. beware: this is a rough unfinished version and thus subject to many subsequent revisions. i hope oekonux will provide me with the answers, and the next questions, i'm looking for.

so, take care and see you again in june. 'll be away for the next 2 weeks, and blogging will be light, if any. i might get to email-to-blog something that catches my eye and ignites my imagination but given my pre-history, i'll probably not. not much to worry then.
