Getting Ripped

Signed up at eFitness.com today. Been seeing the ads everywhere, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. It is a pretty sweet deal. You enter a few things like height, weight, etc. and some preferences for what you are trying to accomplish (ie, get stronger, lose weight) and what types of cardio you like (running, kickboxing, etc.) and the days you want to work out, and it automatically caculates a schedule for you (great for me, because after so long, you get tired of the same routine every week...plus your muscles adjust to excercises after about 6 weeks and you stop getting the results).

That in itself was worth the $5 a month, but it has a whole ton of other cool features, like automatic meal planning. You can tell the site if you would rather cook or buy pre-packaged stuff, what types of food you don't like (ie. "I'm a veggie freak and don't eat red meat"), and it will give you grocery lists, recipies, etc. complete with dietary info. Tonight was "Fantasy Chicken", and it was pretty tasty:

Fantasy Chicken* Nutrition Information
4 ounces of chicken breast, boneless and skinless
2 tsp. of olive oil
1/4 tsp. of black pepper
2 Tbsp. of low sodium salsa
1/2 apple, small
1/4 tsp. of nutmeg
1 Tbsp. of fresh basil
2 Tbsp. of fresh lemon juice

Rinse and pat dry chicken. Peel and grate apple and mix with nutmeg and lemon juice in a small bowl.(note: you may use less spice if desired.) In a nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat and sauté chicken about 3-5 minutes on each side or until done. Remove from pan and keep warm. In same skillet, add apple mixture and salsa, raise heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Stir in chopped basil and pepper and continue to cook for 1-2 more minutes, or until sauce is thickened. Serve chicken topped with sauce over the rice.

To top it all off, the UI is one of the best I have seen for any web based service. Easy to use, lots of options, and looks great. I'll keep everyone posted on how this progresses, but things are looking good so far. Very impressive.
