<p>About 3 years ago I made a decision to buy AppleCare whenever I bought a new Mac. I never bought AppleCare before that time, mainly because I never planned to own a Mac longer than a year. One of the reasons I began buying AppleCare is that when it came time to sell it the resale value was higher because the buyer felt some assurance that even if there were something wrong with the machine he or she would be covered.
