iPhoto 4.0.1 is now available via the Software Update panel. It includes many organizational and stability enhancements. Performance has also been increased throughout the application, giving you faster importing, smoother image viewing and easier Rendezvous photo sharing. This version of iPhoto also features improved thumbnail images in your photo library. To take advantage of this, your thumbnails must be upgraded, which may take a while, depending on the number of photos in your library. [MacMegasite]

Leave it to my friend Guy to keep things interesting.
Legendary technology guru Guy Kawasaki, who used his role as an Apple Fellow to help the Macintosh succeed, is now the CEO of Garage Technology Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Working in conjunction with iStockphoto.com, Kawasaki has come up with a unique contest for his next book, "The Art of the Start": the person who submits the best cover design wins a Canon EOS Digital Rebel camera, with lens; an autographed copy of the book; and 250 credits toward images at iStockphoto.com. We're back. After four days on the road there's lot's of e-mail to catch up on and a ton of News in NetNewsWire. I'll be adding some observations from the trip over the next few days.
