Comcast High-speed Internet: " My Comcast connection stopped working last week, which is unusual, and tech support couldn't figure out what was wrong. I was able to wait patiently for a few days (thanks to a neighbor's password-free Linksys) and finally got through to someone who was able to figure out the problem. It seems our record was inadvertently updated with another customer's MAC address, so he corrected it and it worked immediately. They're crediting the account for the outage.
I decided at the same time to take advantage of their unadvertised $10/month upgrade to 4Mbps down. Not sure it's worth the extra cost, but I'm using Vonage exclusively and the wife's not impressed with call quality. Hopefully the bigger pipe will improve things. In any case, I like the speed! "
