Comcast Highlights:

  • Pro forma CY2002 cable Revenues $16.043 billion, up 11.3% over $14.4 billion for 2001
  • Pro forma CY2002 EBITDA of $4.468 billion, up 16.0% increase over $3.853 billion for 2001.
  • Comcast basic sub base grew slightly and they made "a significant reduction" in the basic cable subscriber loss rate in the ATT systems
  • At yearend, Digital Cable service was available to substantially all of Comcast's cable subscribers.
  • In CY2002, they added ~1.5 mil Digital Cable subs [up 29% over 2001] reaching 6.6 mil [or 31% pene]
  • Q4 net Digital Cable subs additions were 389,400, an annual rate of 1.56 mil additions or 24% growth
  • Q4 2002, Digital Cable subs contributed, on average, incremental $14.48 in revenue per month
