Prisoner of the Car Wash

So on my way back to the office today after lunch I decided I'd stop in at the car wash. I've got a new car that I'm pretty sure is black but right now it's more of a dusty grey -- it's snowed so much lately that there's just been no good time to wash it. So today was the day.  I get on line, and then realize that there are a good 20 or so people in front of me. If I wait, I'm going to be late getting back to work. But I can't turn around, because it's literally impossible...the lane is too narrow, no room for a u-turn, and there are people on line behind me. I'm trapped.

So I finally inch my way up to the front of the line and then realize with panic that I don't have a spare alarm beepy thing...my alarm beepy thing is one with the key, I can't just leave the key in the ignition and take the beepy thing. What if the alarm sets itself? I can't unlock it remotely without the beepy thing.  And the car doors lock automatically at 8 mph. Could it possibly get up to 8 mph in there? What if the doors lock themselves automatically as it's going through the wash part and then the guy who cleans your windows goes to open the door and he can't...then what? Do they stop the whole car wash? How do they get the car out? Who would I call? I was completely panicking...I'm on line to pay as my car is going through the wash and I'm literally shaking...

Then I see my car through that plexiglas window.  It's already clean, sitting accommodatingly with the driver side door open, key in the ignition, ready and waiting for me...

I am such a ninny.
