Out of the Loupe
A brief excerpt from an actual conversation that makes me look really smart (for a change.)
Two people leaning over a contact sheet, peering through a loupe and grumbling.
Person 1: "This thing doesn't work."
Person 2: "If you ask me I prefer a good old fashioned magnifying glass."
Person 1: "I think you're supposed to put your eye right up against it, aren't you?"
Me: "What's up, there, guys?"
Person 1: "This thing doesn't work."
Me: "Let me see." Pause. "Well, here's your problem." Turns loupe over so it's right side up. "There you go."
Person 1: "No...wait...oh yeah. Look at that!"
