Every picture tells a story, don't it?

I would like it very much if someone would please invent some kind of thingy where instead of describing a thing with words I could just send them the picture that's in my head. I'm continually frustrated with my utter inability to do justice to the image or idea I've got in my head by using only words.  I know what I want, I know what I'm trying to say, but I just end up using the same old words and phrases that other people have used a million times before and they fall frustratingly short of nailing the concept I'm trying to explain. Worse, I'm still making sense, so the person THINKS they know what I'm talking about but I know in my heart I've done a woefully inadequate job of communicating.

This, by the way, stems from a conversation I was having with my hairdresser today (yes, my hairdresser, okay?) where I was trying to explain the Hamptons to her and I just couldn't do it right. I ended up saying..."Uh...it's...it's just...real nice...big mansions...sand dunes...not too developed...well, its developed but not like the Jersey Shore...oh...just go...trust me..." If there was some kind of thing that would suck the image out of my brain and into some sort of compact handheld device, I could just hand it to her and say, "Here. This is the Hamptons. Nice, huh?"
