The pen is mightier than the flatbread
I miss the Grilled Chicken Flatbread sandwich at McDonalds. I really enjoyed that sandwich. It was only 11 points, which, if you think about it, is a lot of food for not that many points. It had chicken. It had flatbread. It had lettuce and tomatoes. But best of all it had this jalapeno cheese that gave it a nice kick. I loved that sandwich. So, of course, it's just my luck that McDonalds took it off the menu recently. I sent them a brief, yet heartfelt email plea along these lines:
"Bring back the Grilled Chicken Flatbread sandwich!"
Lo and behold what do I find waiting in my in-box today but a lovely note from someone named Christopher in the McDonald's Customer Satisfaction Department. (I would love to reproduce the text here but "any unauthorized use, disclosure or reproduction of this communication is strictly prohibited and may be unlawful" and hey, that's not a battle I plan to fight over a grilled chicken sandwich, thanks.) They are sorry I was disappointed in the menu change (hey, no problem, I wasn't THAT disappointed...) and they wanted me to know that they've forwarded my comment to the Menu Management Team for consideration.
So if that sandwich suddenly reappears on the menu, you'll know it was me. No need to thank me.
