Applied Location maintains two primary workstreams:

Systems
Our systems work centers on the development of software and patents to enable combined road-, parking- and insurance pricing within a single system.  We have patents pending in the area of positioning technologies as they pertain to intelligent traffic systems.  The fundamental benefits of this system work include transport pricing equity (user-pay), reduced congestion and reduced pollution, as well as congestion mapping for planning, navigation and traffic control.

Consulting
Our consulting work focuses on mobile, location-based services.  Our work centers on technology and market research, design, policies and development related to position-based road- and parking-pricing, pay-as-you-drive insurance, mobile tracking, asset security, personal security, and geo-casting (such as location-based advertising), traffic optimization and congestion mapping.  We conduct market and asset-specific studies, as well as providing system design, product research, project management, and product management.

Although we engage in technology development our work encompasses all issues including privacy, security, policies, project management, and R+D. Our consultants have experience in GIS, software, operations, finance and legal, business planning and capitalization.
