Frank Nimphius and Shay Shmeltzer take Swing developers on a tour of the unique UI debugging features for Swing applications that the Oracle JDeveloper 10g IDE offers. Since JDeveloper 10g itself is a very complex Swing application, our own developers built this tool initially for themselves to help understand changes to Swing event delivery when we upgraded the IDE itself to run on the JDK 1.4. The feature is now incorporated into the product so any Swing application developer can benefit.
