The September/October 2007 issue of Oracle Magazine is out, and along with it the first article in my DEVELOPER: Frameworks series that highlights new features coming in the Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 11g release:

Defining a Cascading List of Values
Setting up LOVs is easier than ever with Oracle JDeveloper 11g

My downloadable Example #62 that shows an implementation of this feature in the current 10.1.3.x release is one of the most popular here on the blog, so it's clear this is a highly-desireable feature for your end-users. In 10.1.3 incorporating this functionality into your ADF application requires non-trivial amount of effort to achieve, and so it makes me extremely happy we've been able to make it declarative in ADF 11g.

You can use the JDeveloper 11g OTN Technology Preview release to follow along with the article and see the new powerful feature for yourself.

As usual, I keep a list of all my DEVELOPER: Frameworks columns here.

I've added example #122 that illustrates how to write code in a JSF backing bean that runs before and/or after the default ADF table selection listener handling logic.
