i got to see one of god's small miracles this last week. the band i play in was asked to lead worship at church, and for that day we added one person to the band. that one extra ingredient somehow catalyzed the whole band and made us all sound better. i really have no explanation for it except that it is a small miracle, that the whole became more than the sum of the parts.

when i think about the struggle to re-imagine what it means to be people of faith, i wonder if it is this type of miracle that i am looking for, over and over again. where a group of people suddenly become something amazing, even to themselves, for reasons which they can't quite fathom.

does god read blogs? could this be a prayer?
