Delaware Weddings blog
This website is to talk about my experiences planning a Wedding in Delaware and to also help other brides by posting information about vendors in the area of Delaware. I was disappointed by the information that was available online for brides (and grooms) getting married in Delaware, so I decided to start this site. I hope to eventually include pictures, all vendor information and many other tools that would be helpful and make this site more fun. < ? blogs by women # >

Luckly, our wedding did not have any big disasters that happened.  But I think with any wedding, there are going to be a couple of small things.  These were ours:

Two of the bridesmaids were pretty late because of problems at the hair dresser, but they were dressed and at my mom's house before the limo left, so I was fine.

During the ceremony, my husband stepped on my detachable train, which took part of it off, but we were able to get it back on fine for the pictures.

The flowers for the Blessed Mother were left in the limo, which we realized when we were walking to the Blessed Mother.  I just pulled one of the flowers from my bouquet and left it.  Only a couple people up front could tell.  Until of course I told everyone about it :)

The photographer said that we didn't have time to take any shots in the limo, such as the champagne toast (which really upset the best man).  But the best man took some pictures with his phone camera and they are really cute.

When we got to the reception, my grandmother and uncle didn't have their placecards to tell them where to sit.  We knew where they were sitting, but I still don't know what happened to the placecards.

It rained :(

So that's all I can think of, really small things, but also some things that made it a little more interesting.

On Monday, I went with my friend Kim and her other bridesmaids to order our bridesmaids dresses from Jessica McClintock in the Christiana Mall for Kim and Sam's wedding in October.  The dresses are a bright pink, which will be a fun change from the light lavender color of my bridesmaids dresses (which they all looked gorgeous in) !

Yeah, I think I got it.  This is a picture of me and Glen after our first kiss as a married couple.  This website is going to be much more fun now that I figured out how to post pictures!

This is the first post since our wedding on Saturday May 31st, 2003.  Along with the change from being engaged to married, my name has changed from Nicole K. Kahn to Nicole K. Outten.  It will take me a little while to get used to it, but so far married life is great!  Of course it's not much different, but it's nice to be able to call Glen my husband.  We both enjoyed the wedding so much and hopefully so did all of our guests.  It's a little sad that the wedding is completely over, but it's nice to finally have time to rest.  Now all that is left are all the Thank you notes!
