Clubhopping is fun. Starting of the night in this brightly lit church with commercial trash pounding out of the speakers. Enjoying double whiskeys (or bourbon, whatever) and not the music. While you're waiting for the party to start, suddenly some bouncer comes around announcing that, apparently, they are closing. (if you really want to know what place it was go to the Feestpaleis website)
So a 30 minute drive later you're glad you aren't wearing sunglasses or you wouldn't be able to enjoy the beautiful girls serving you refreshing drinks. Every one is having fun and dancing to the music and looking strange at any one even considering going home. (@ Kokorico)
"Back in the days" (as if I'm old, but anyway) we would follow this up with some after clubbing. Carat was just plain weird (the good kind), but a little too far. But I guess none of my friends has the stamina any more. Maybe it's for the better, at least I can get some work done now on Mondays.
