I'm not sure if you've been following the latest trends in blogland, but one that interests me a lot is the mp3 blog, or music blog in general. Offering a daily taste of the music that particular blogger likes. Thom gives an overview.
I've been considering offering some of my favorite tracks, but I'm still not very comfortable about the legal consequences. No matter what offering full mp3's of commercial music is illegal, whether you've got 12 readers or 10k.
It's also not too hard to find the tracks I'm talking about if you pay a little attention. I think I pointed out the excellent Essential Sets DC++ hub enough by now (although it is getting a little overcrowded there).
Oh well, maybe some day. Either that or I have to figure out a way to make enough money to pay for the rights (which will never happen, I'm sure).
Here's another nice track to search for: Members Of Mayday - Let It Rock. It's the B-side of their 2003 anthem Troopa Of Tomorrow, which I tihnk is a bit light. While Let It Rock is also pretty minimalistic, I dig the sounds in this one. That guitar sample which reminds me of LSG's Fontana is just delicious.
