With the "Gentse Feesten" starting pretty soon I did some research one what to do. Usually I would just buy me a 10 days off member card and be done with it, but this year the cards were sold out a week before their official deadline. Since I was stuck in Vegas at that time I sortof missed my opportunity for one. I refuse to feed the money machine and pay 15 euro every night (member card is 65 euro for 11 nights) so that started my search. I found some things which I've bookmarked on this del.icio.us category. I'll be added more later and probably present some highlights. Most of these things won't be free either, but they should be about 5 euro which, I think, is acceptable.
Now Playing: Jam & Spoon's Hands on Yello - You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess. This isn't even 10 years old, but still it sounds like it is from another planet. Compare this to a random trance track of today and you got the feeling today's trance is made for pussies. I don't mind it that much since I'm old anyway :) But still, some harsher, more uptempo, less commercialized, less produced sounds from time to time wouldn't be that bad. Checking Stefan Sell's excellent discography also reminded me I really should check out Jam & Spoon's latest track.
