I have long maintained that it should be up to the discretion of each airline passenger whether the person in front of them should be allowed to recline their seat. In my opinion, the small additional comfort gained by reclining is greatly outweighed by the discomfort of being reclined into. In other words, it is not even a zero-sum game, it is a negative-sum game.
My idea was that the airline seats should have a lever installed in their back to allow reclining. Not that I was going to hold my breath for that to happen. But now a resourceful inventor has come up with a cheap, after-market way to accomplish the same thing. I hope this forces the issue!
