Mission Pathway
"The churches in the third world do not have much materially, yet they are bountiful resources of prayer to ask the Lord to reap the harvest."
On the 19th you read of one missionary leader in Siberia practicing the prayer of Jabez, and praising God for enlarging his territory. Others around the world are claiming the same promise. Esther Fan, a Chinese pastor's wife, is one of them. She is the one who translates this Global Prayer Digest into Chinese. Chinese intercessors know the GPD as Mission Pathway. Right now they have 13,500 using this prayer tool, but their goal is to have 50,000 using it.
Mrs. Fan has seen prayer answered dramatically. During one evangelistic outreach with a goal of inviting 30 nonóbelievers, one youth in the church said, "According to my own experience, if three non-believers show up, it would be a surprise." Esther encouraged the church to pray and recruited 14 intercessors. The result was 70 non-believers came and 15 accepted Christ! When they repeated the process, 160 new friends showed up.
Mrs. Fan hopes that this prayer tool will be used by Chinese speakers in Myanmar. She adds, "The churches in the third world do not have much materially, yet they are bountiful resources of prayer to ask the Lord to reap the harvest."
Pray that Mission Pathway soon will be used regularly by 50,000 Chinese intercessors. Pray that Chinese-speaking churches will adopt and plant churches among hundreds of unreached people groups in the coming years.-JS
