Study Says Reforms Pose Risk for N.Korea Government. How long do people think it will be before Kim Jong Il starts limiting private trading in food and consumer goods again? He has never liked capitalism and so private enterprise is a cyclic thing in North Korea. My hunch is that even though he desperately needs to loosten up - people are still starving and the economy has been decimated, but as soon as the immediate crisis seems slightly abated, the control-obsessed Kim will fear that he has to clamp down, nomatter how much his people suffer.
